General description of tasks

Members:                                 - Attend Annual General Meetings and FGBMFI activities;
                                                     - Amend and adopt proposals and minutes at AGMs;
                                                     - Ratify the reports and acts of the directors;
                                                     - Elect the President, Vice-President, and Directors of the Board.

President:                               - Establish the items to be discussed at Board meetings;
                                                    - Facilitate Board meetings, attend committee meetings;
                                                    - Ensure that the accepted resolutions are respected;
                                                    - Ensure public relations with the media and organizations;
                                                    - Write the president's message for the review;
                                                    - Report on its presidency for the AGM;
                                                    - Make annual visits to the chapters.

Past President:                     - Inform the Board of Directors of past policy decisions;
                                                    - Reactivate chapters that are inactive or in difficulty;
                                                    - Develop new chapters.

Vice-president:                    - Assist the President in its duties;
                                                    - Ensure relations with members.

Treasurer:                               - Maintain accounting records;
                                                    - Perform banking transactions;
                                                    - Produce financial statements for Board meetings and AGMs.

Registrar:                               - Collect membership fees;
                                                   - Manage the list of active-inactive members;
                                                   - Issue membership cards;
                                                   - Produce the list for renewal notices;
                                                   - Ensure follow-up on late renewals;
                                                   - Make mailing lists for "La Gagnonnière".

Secretary:                             - Write the agenda and minutes of the Board and AGM meetings;
                                                   - Write the association's news for the magazine;
                                                   - Prepare the annual report for the AGM;
                                                   - Update the general regulations;
                                                   - Distribute the mail and respond if necessary;
                                                   - Be the custodian of the archives.

Directors:                              - Participate in Board meetings and association activities;
                                                   - Contribute to the organization of the association's activities;
                                                   - Be in charge of committees and/or responsibilities;
                                                   - Seek sponsors and donors.

Chapters:                               - Planning-organizing chapter activities (AGM and others);
                                                   - Write chapter news for the review;
                                                   - Research and promote regional people and stories in connection with                                                                   Gagnon and Belzile;
                                                   - Seek sponsors and donors;
                                                   - Ensure the renewal of contributions;
                                                   - Encourage new members to join;
                                                   - Make a chapter activity report for the AGM.

Standing and ad hoc          - Manage the file according to the directives and expectations of the Board of committees:                             directors;
                                                   - Write an activity report for Board and AGM meetings.

Case managers:                   - Manage the case according to the directives and expectations of the Board                                                       of Directors;
                                                   - Write an activity report for Board and AGM meetings.

The Board of directors

            The 2019-2020 Board of Directors was formed at the Annual General Meeting, held in 
                                                                La Pocatiere City, June 8, 2019

Composition: A President, a Vice-President, and seven* other directors elected by universal suffrage by the members at the General Assembly. *(if there is an outgoing president, he or she holds one of the seven director positions for a two-year term). Chapter presidents or representatives are elected ex officio members. All must be members in good standing of the association.
